a cold smack in the face.

the one thing that you placed your entire life into – the one thing that can break your spirit.

you see, i’m almost done being angry, but the fear has just begun. months of learning to trust someone again, just seems so utterly (and painfully) wasted.

you give, and you give and you give somemore, thinking that its all worth the while, that that is what it takes to trust again. that maybe you’ve come to a place where you can love with a reckless abandon again.

and then to your face, that someone lies to you.

and breaks your heart.

what counts as possibly one of the worst feelings in the world – is knowing that you liked who you were better in the past.

I’m still trying to understand how it can still hurt me so much, so long after.

It can keep me up nights, and the next morning I wake up, feeling a little better and telling myself that its all right.

The worst part is – whenever I feel close to accepting reality, what torments me the most is the fear of being lied to, and having been trying to accept an illusion from the start.

I look at my parents going around the house, and I know I have not been the best son. I am guilty, of not even trying at times.

At 22, I have so many dreams in front of me, so much to hope for. When they were 22, they must have had such dreams as well.

I have never asked them if they are happy with where they are today, because I am afraid of the answer. I do not know how to feel, if I knew that my parents were not who they set out to be.

To be sure, I know bits and pieces of what they wanted to do, and then some more scraps of information for why they are where they are today, but it is far from a complete picture.

They must have wanted so much more when they were 22. I need to stop living in my bubble, and live with my family in mind.

Just done trying to plan my modules for the next (last) few years of my formal education.

With so many things going on around you, sometimes it is hard to remember that you are first a student, before anything else.
